Da-dum, da-dumm, da-dum da-dum da-dum???Those Jaws movies back in the 80’s have not done sharks a lot of favours in the eyes of the public. Sharks are strong, beautiful, scary and yes verocious at times. This is your chance to experience these wonderfully unique animals, just cruising around you, and to experience it in the safety of a cage.
Your adventure begins at Port Lincoln, South Australia, and you are taken out to the famous Neptune Islands, the very best place in the world to dive with and photograph Great White Sharks.
Here you will get to experience that once in a lifetime moment of seeing natures absolute strength and untouched beauty ???the Great White Shark - in its natural habitat.
You don’t need to be a certified diver to participate in this wild adventure. It is called surface cage diving, breathing air from a "hookah line", a surface fed air supply. Here the top of the cage floats at the water surface and the cage is conveniently fixed directly to the vessel! None of this sinking to the bottom of the ocean stuff.
We have been told that the sharks dont actually crash into the cage mouth open, trying to eat the divers (which, is a great thing, I guess, if it you they are trying to eat), but rather confidently approach and occasionally bump the cages. And apparently, it is amazing to look into their giant black eyes as they cruise past! For now, us here at I Want That, are quite happy to take their word for it, and encourage you to go see for yourselves.
An educational program is provided, along with talks, other topside activities and superb onboard facilities, combining together to bring you a very memorable 4 days, along with the adrenaline rush of the century.
The staff onboard the vessel are all involved in research and eco-friendly activities which promote the well-being of our shark community.
