"Bah @ Special Edition."
2 stars"

The Special edition spoiled the original Star Wars with pointless CGI, childish comical additions and stupid changes to major charactors. If you're a fan of Star Wars, you'll know what I mean in regard to Greedo shooting first! What were they thinking?! George, swallow your pride and bring out a DVD set of the original!! I'll give this 4 stars, but the Original would have gotten 5.

It's Star Wars, and it's on DVD.

There have been some changes made to the films yet again which you may not be aware of, so I am here so you can make an informed purchase.

The two major changes which you may object to is the revoicing of all Stormtroopers and Boba Fett which are now done by Tem Morrison. The other is the use of Hayden Christensens Episode III character image in the celebration scene at the end of Return Of The Jedi in place of the original actor. For the purposes of consistency Anakins face under the mask of Vader has been altered too. Apparently the eyebrows have been REMOVED and the eye color changed. I've seen the altered version and it looks very odd considering what we are used to seeing for the past 20 years. I guess the one positive thing about this change is you get to see Darth Vaders face revealed under the mask for the first time again.

I am pleased to report that the godawful scream when Luke falls down the shaft in Empire Strikes Back has been removed, so it's worth buying for that alone.
